A journey across 135 years recalling the racetracks’ strong identity and historical roots and creating a bridge between the past, present and future of the Snaitech-owned facilities, including the Snai San Siro Racecourse, which is preparing to undergo a new transformation with the establishment of the “Teatro del Cavallo”.
The digital historical archive is a collection of more than 500 images, photographs and drawings divided into six themed sections. It reveals, bears witness to and illustrates the history and fascination of over 100 years of passion in an exciting story of the places, races and people that have made the Snai racecourses famous worldwide.
From the founding of the first modern racecourse, designed by the architect Vietti Violi, to races involving the most famous thoroughbreds and trotters, passing through the lives of the prestigious champion breeders Federico Tesio and Paolo Orsi Mangelli. Snaitech relates its past and celebrates its racecourses in a story that inextricably links it to the world of horse racing.

The Snai Racecourses Historical Archive devotes ample space to the San Siro gallop racecourse, which has always combined sport with greenery and nature to become a key place for social gathering, the world of art and culture.

Besides hosting a prized botanical park, the Snai Siro Racecourse is also the place chosen by the Municipality of Milan in 1999 to host one of the world’s most impressive equestrian statues, “Leonardo’s Horse”.
